Introduction

Phaethon Mercenaries have seized control of a nearby mining region and pressed the locals into slavery. Gina’s Eagles have accepted a contract to remove them, but she’s worried they may be overmatched.

So Gina’s put out word her company would be willing to share the Prestige and Bounty for helping to take down Phaethon…

This event is split into two elements : Personal Challenges, and Alliance Challenges.

 

Personal Challenges

When the event begins, select a difficulty tier (Champions, Epic, Legends, or Fearless) and a difficulty level within that tier (Easy, Normal, Hard, Nightmare, or Insane). Difficulties above Easy must be earned by clearing the previous level in a prior event — at minimum, you’ll need to complete this event 20 times to unlock all difficulty levels.

Once selected, all challenge waves will be locked to that tier and level for the duration of the event.
To begin, scout a Phaethon Mercenary from the Event tab by clicking ‘Scout‘ (costs 15 stamina). This will locate one on the world map, giving you 1 hour to defeat it. You can tackle it in one of three ways:

• Solo — 10 additional stamina (8 with Gina 4★)
• Rally — 25 additional stamina (20 with Gina 4★)
• Alliance Help Request — you have 5 free Mercenary Contracts per event. This raises a notification in Alliance chat with the target’s location, allowing an Alliance member to call a rally on it — rally attendants earn bonus rewards on top of wave completion rewards. Earn +1 extra Contract each time you help another member.

Alliance Challenges

As your Alliance progresses through the event, R4 or R5 members can request the right to challenge a Phaethon Captain once enough members have defeated a certain number of high-level Phaethon Soldiers.

Calling a Captain will send a mail to all Alliance members announcing the scouting and begin a 30-minute timer to defeat them. Phaethon Captains are extremely powerful — you’ll need your allies.

All Alliance members can participate by sending individual marches against the Captain, chipping away at its health. When defeated, every Alliance member who participated will receive big rewards.
