Phaethon Mercenaries have seized control of a nearby mining region and pressed the locals into slavery. Gina’s Eagles have accepted a contract to remove them, but she’s worried they may be overmatched.
So Gina’s put out word her company would be willing to share the Prestige and Bounty for helping to take down Phaethon…
This event is split into two elements; personal challenges, and Alliance challenges. Click the link for recommended power levels for each of the 50 waves, wave rewards and final rewards
Personal Challenges
When the event begins, you select a difficulty (either Easy, Normal, Hard, Nightmare or Insane). Once selected, all of the challenges will be of the selected difficulty tier and cannot later be changed. Difficulties above Easy must be earned by clearing the previous difficulty level in a previous event, so at a minimum you’ll need to do this event 4 times to complete all difficulty levels.
You need to scout a Phaethon Mercenary to have it appear on the map. To scout a mercenary, go to the Event tab and click ‘Scout’. It costs 15 stamina to scout the mercenary and will take you to the world view upon locating one. You then have 1 hour to defeat it in any of the following ways:
– Do this solo (10 additional stamina)
– Call a rally on the target (25 additional stamina)
– Request help from your Alliance
Note: If you do not manage to defeat the target in time, you’ll need to spend stamina again to re-scout it.
Solo battles and rallies work the same as against any other target – select your three-hero march and troop formations.
Regarding help requests :- you have 5 ‘Mercenary Contracts’ per event with which to ask for help. This will raise a notification in Alliance chat of the help request, and the location of the target. Another Alliance member can then call a rally on the target for you (and any rally attendants will gain rewards over and above the ones you get for wave completion).
Alliance Challenges
As your Alliance progresses through the event, R4 or R5 members have the opportunity to challenge a Phaethon Captain when enough members have met the requirements.
Calling a Captain will send a mail to all Alliance members to announce the scouting of the Captain and begin a 30 minute timer to defeat them.
Note: If you do not manage to defeat the target in time, it can be re-activated.
All Alliance members can participate in the Phaethon Captain by sending individual marches against it and chipping away at its health. When defeated, any Alliance members who took part will receive rewards.
Note2: Each of the Captains can only be defeated once per event, so ensure enough members are online at the time to benefit!
